No, that's not a typo. I wanted to tell you about a site called TasteSTOPPING, which is a response to TasteSPOTTING. I may have mentioned before that I love spending hours ogling the beautiful photography and yummy-looking recipes on Tastespotting. I've even submitted a few recipes. However, food sites such as Tastespotting, Food Gawker, and Photograzing, have very high photography standards, which as of yet have not been met by the Tea Scoop. (We plan to keep trying). So, someone who wanted to be able to share food photography photos with other foodies started Tastestopping, which takes the photos that the other sites have previously rejected and gives them humorous titles to take the sting out of the rejections. It's very cute, and another good way to share recipes and photos.
I had sent in a photo from the Birthday Bash dinner to both Food Gawker and Tastespotting. Both rejected the photo, but it is now up on Tastestopping. I love their title for it: "Steeped in Rejection." You may or may not have noticed that I love puns.
So if you're looking for some place fun to browse after you leave this site, head over there and check it out!
Hi Stephanie,
Thanks so much for this lovely mention. I'm glad that you've found a second home for your photos and that you enjoy the titles on the posts. It has been a lot of fun for me, so it's always nice to hear when my foodie blogging friends are having just as much fun with it.
Looking forward to hearing and seeing from you again soon! And, be on the lookout for the new site to be up and running soon (I'll leave an announcement on the current blog when I launch.) It will streamline the submission process and even offer a place for you to promote your posts without being rejected first!
Thanks again. :)
Best,
Casey
